Here at the Downhillers Ski Club we have wrapped up the softball season and are gearing up for another ski season. This season the Downhillers will be going to Steamboat Springs, CO. for their western trip. Please check out the flyer or website for details on that trip. We will be starting the general meetings again shortly, so check out the schedule for those. Also included in this issue of the track will be the winter membership form. Please get your membership forms in to our membership chairman so they can keep you on the list of active members.

General Meetings
We are starting our third General Meeting season at O'Donoghue's Irish Pub. The owner, Jamie O'Donoghue has been a gracious and supportive host. We meet monthly,
October - April on the second Tuesday of the month at O'Donoghue's Irish Pub, 13225 Watertown Plank Road, Elm Grove at 7:30 P.M.
Our first meeting of the new season will be the third Tuesday of September due to the Labor Day holiday.

This year the Skihasen and Downhillers are planning a trip to Steamboat Springs, CO.
The Skihasen and Downhillers will have 10 openings for this trip.
Trip Includes:
Round trip airfare, Milwaukee to Hayden, CO on United Airlines
Round trip ground transportation, Hayden to Steamboat
Five of seven days lift tickets
Seven days lodging at the Lodge at Steamboat (200 yards from the Gondola)

Base elevation, 6,900 feet-Top elevation 10,568 feet
Vertical elevation 3,668 feet
Total lifts 20
Beginner 13%: Intermediate 56%: Expert 31%

Payment Schedule: $100 Initial deposit at signup

Travel Insurance: If you need to protect yourself in case you are not able to make the trip after having made a deposit(s), please purchase travel insurance. Skihasen/Downhillers may not be able to refund all of your deposit money. Our tour agent Winter Ski & Sport is now offering trip insurance through the ski clubs at $59 for this trip.
* Note: If you are checking a suitcase and skis/boot bag the United Airlines will be charging you an additional $100 round trip for checked baggage, not included
in the trip cost.

MEMEBERSHIP RENEWALS
Memberships in the Downhillers Ski Club are valid August 1 through July 31. Please take the time to complete a membership renewal form found by clicking on the link and send it and your dues to the address on the form.
SOCIAL ACTIVITIES
Fish Fry at Six Points Bar and Grill
Come out and support the sponsor of the Coed Softball team.
The Coed softball team will be getting together several times during the off-season at the team's sponsor, Six Points Bar and Grill.
Six Points is located on the corner of 62nd and Greenfield, where National crosses Greenfield.
COED SOFTBALL
The Downhillers Coed Softball team finished the season with a 6-4 record but ended the season losing 3 of the last 4 games and finished in fourth place.
The Sitzmark Blue team won the league championship.
